The Playground is the result of a filmmaking workshop held at @if_koweit and led by @alia_farid. The film is inspired by Homo Ludens by J. Huizinga. It observes and follows a boy in a playground. Accompanied by feelings of joy, tension, and the awareness of a different reality, the boy travels through play, moving from one game to another. His "ordinary" life runs parallel to visual elements that reflect the characteristics of play: fun, imagination, and freedom. The visuals also offer a brief glimpse of play as both a cultural element and a fundamental aspect of life.
